South Australian Artist profile: Deb Bull South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula is home to amazing coastal environments and stunning nature experiences. Kangaroos and emus roam free and the region is a haven for birdlife. Wildflowers come alive in spring and autumn bringing rich colours and stunning beauty to the Peninsula. It was in this magnificent, nature rich environment that wildlife artist Deb Bull was born and raised. Her surroundings inspired in her a lifelong love of flora and fauna. From childhood, drawing and art became a part of Deb’s life. It’s not surprising that growing up in this naturally pristine environment led Deb to develop her flair, skills and gift as a wildlife artist. Deb now lives on Eyre Peninsula, another beautiful region, rich with diversity in native wildlife, where Deb encounters daily inspiration from her environment. Honing her talent over many years, Deb has worked in a variety of media. These days, Deb primarily paints in pastels and oils, with works on paper and canvas. She has a huge passion for frogs and her paintings of them beautifully capture their life essence, character and beauty.
